Littlefield Agency announces winner of KIPP Creative Achievement Scholarship

KIPP Tulsa & Littlefield Agency Creative Achievement Scholarship

Littlefield Agency is proud to recognize the winner of the inaugural Littlefield Agency & KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) Tulsa Creative Achievement Scholarship. It’s the first-of-its-kind Tulsa High School Pitch Competition.

KIPP Tulsa students were challenged to create a new product or service, craft a name, create a design, and present this idea to a panel of judges, working with mentors from the agency. The winning team received a $5,000 scholarship for furthering their education or for investing in the company or idea.

The two concepts presented were ASAP Essentials, a service to help North Tulsans get easier access to everyday essentials, and MEGA WAVE Comics, a comic book company focusing on creating diverse characters within the superhero world.

MEGA WAVE Comics took home the scholarship and plans to invest the money in the initial steps of what they hope is the beginning of a life-changing brand.

“This was one of the best decisions our agency has ever made. Our vision became a reality, and with the help of the wonderful people at KIPP Tulsa, we were able to jumpstart something that I’m sure will continue for years to come,” said Sam Littlefield, president and CEO of Littlefield Agency. “The most important thing is that these teams created a product or service that can actually make a difference in today’s world. They now have the opportunity to go make that happen with this scholarship money, and we can’t wait to see them bring this to life.”

“The way Littlefield Agency poured into our kids, you can’t pay for that,” said DeAnn Cooks, director of KIPP Forward. “It is something they will take away, and they will have for the rest of their lives, and that’s priceless.”
