Also, Roop celebrates his 10 years at Littlefield this week! We are so thankful for his service (Roop note: I don’t write these summaries!) and excited for many more here at the agency. We had our Mardi Gras Chili Cook Off yesterday—it was a blast! Shoutout to Chelsea Hubble for taking home first place.
Our two trends for the first week of March:
LinkedIn Launches Test of Audio Rooms, Announces New Formats for Live Events and Clubhouse Adds New Way to Share Rooms, Additional Analytics and Access Options
LinkedIn’s launching an initial test of its own, Clubhouse-like audio events platform, which will enable users to tune into live discussions in the app and participate by raising their virtual hand to join as a speaker or posting likes in response to the chat.
Our take: Is anyone out there using Clubhouse? With other more mainstream platforms mocking the same functionality, it feels like this Clubhouse might not survive. Even LinkedIn is getting in on audio rooms. For now, though, Clubhouse does seem to have an active, core audience all its own.
Walmart is Quietly Preparing to Enter the Metaverse
Our Take: With other big name brands like Nike, Gap, Under Armor and many more also getting in on the Metaverse it’s a good time to take a look at where, or if, there is an opportunity for your brand to have some stake in the game. Selling goods? Creating NFTs as a social giveaway to followers?
We’re traveling next Wednesday, but back at it next Thursday with a special guest!
