Steve Roop, Director of AI and CRM at Littlefield Agency, was recently featured in an article on ProgrammingInsider.com, discussing the transformative power of AI in cleaning old data—especially in processes that require human judgment across hundreds of thousands of records.
“Of course, everyone uses AI for text output like blogs or emails, but some of the more interesting and useful applications I’ve seen involve cleaning large amounts of old data,” Roop explained. “Think data from the ’90s—records that were not originally collected or organized for the needs of today’s more sophisticated data systems or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.”
Roop noted that AI is a fast-moving target, but beyond the basic uses many people rely on today, such as spellchecking and writing, more customized AI-driven solutions for B2B businesses behind the scenes will eventually become more widespread and valuable.
“These sorts of AI-enabled custom solutions are in every nook and cranny of every business,” said Roop. “People just need to consider whether AI can solve their larger data and systems problems and save them time, instead of always viewing AI as merely a ghostwriter.”
